Scherach was Provenza’s last opposition, and that was in 2003. Amazingly, Provenza had no opposition in 2007, even though new DUI charges popped up between those two election years. I don’t think it’s what the people wanted. I think it’s what the good old boys, like Giardini, mandated through their political machine.
