To keep up with politics and the blogosphere, I’ve decided to give Twitter a try. I once (briefly) tried Facebook, but there was too much drama on there for my taste, and it took up too much of my time to maintain my page, so I pulled the plug on it many months ago. I’m hoping that Twitter will be much easier to manage. I’ve added my Twitter feed at the bottom of the right-hand sidebar.

Evidently, I just don’t get the social media craze. My Space and Facebook look like good ways for those who don’t want to host a blog to at least have a web presence and a way to communicate to their “followers.” But like you, I found they took up too much time. So, I admit I didn’t give them much of a chance.
I tried Twitter, but I was put off by their tagline, “What are you doing,” in a 140 words. My first thought was it’s none of your business and 140 words is sometimes the first paragraph of a blog post.
Still, I didn’t like blogging the first time I tried it and now I enjoy it. So, I’ll probably give social media a second chance.
Good luck with Twitter, I hope it meets your needs.

So far, Twitter is much more easily managed than Facebook.
